A Hop Variety For All

Because every craft beer loving bearded guy has different tastes, The Beerded Beard Company has decided that one hop variety would never suffice. That’s why we’ve decided to offer all of our products in seven different hop varieties. From the in-your-face pine and citrus of the Citra hop to the subtle Earthy aroma of Tettnang, there’s sure to be a hop variety for every face. From time to time, we’ll also release special, limited edition hop varieties so make sure you sign up to receive updates to stay on top of the latest Beerded Beard Company product announcements.

NOTE: These are the aroma descriptions of the actual, raw hops themselves and not of the finished products that we make. While we do use copious amounts of hops to infuse our products with the essential oils and other compounds found within the whole hops, they do not contain whole hops. Basically, if you’re looking for something that smells like fresh hops you had better buy some fresh hops. Our products have a unique aroma all their own and we’re pretty darn proud of it.

NEW! Mosaic: Also known as HBC369, Mosaic is the first born child of Simcoe. Some have described it as Citra on steroids, but it’s much more than that. Rich in Mango, lemon, citrus, earthy pine, tropical fruit, herbal and stone fruit notes.

Galaxy: Galaxy™ has rapidly become the most internationally recognized Australian flavor hop. Her reputation comes from the distinctly identifiable characters she brings to beer, which can range from passion fruit and peach to clean citrus aromas which are more intense the later the addition. Highly versatile, Galaxy can be used in almost all varieties of beer. A protagonist in its own right, Galaxy is not to be mistaken for Citra.

Simcoe: Say the word IPA to a hophead and the first hop variety many of them will think of is Simcoe. Simcoe is a hugely aromatic hop variety with a woodsey, musky, citrus character that is as known for its funkiness as well as its complexity. If you’re into Dogfish Head 60 Minute Ale, this is the hop for you. If you don’t absolutely, positively love hops, don’t order this variety. You’ve been warned.

Citra: Looking for a hop variety that’s a bit fruity and a bit citrusy? Who isn’t? Citra, like its name implies, is a hop with strong citrus and tropical tones. Think refreshing notes of grapefruit, melon, lime, gooseberry, passion fruit and lychee. Smells fresh and wild, just like you.

Cascade: If middle-of-the-road is more your thing, you can’t go wrong with Cascade. This medium intensity hops variety is full of gentle floral, citrus and grapefruit tones and blends perfectly with your natural aromas.
